Unless the Lord builds the house,

The builders gonna labor in vain.

Unless the Lord watches over the city,

The watchmen gonna stand guard in vain.

In vain you rise early and you stay up too late,

Working for food to put on your plate.

While those He loves, He provides for even while they sleep.

Children from the Lord are a gift,

A heritage, and a reward.

Like arrows in the hands of a mighty man,

Are the children of the Lord from your youth.

With quivers full of children, how parents are blessed!

For when your enemies put you to the test,

You’ll sweep them away - they won’t stand a chance against you!
